It's almost time for the 6th Annual SW Regional Counselor's Conference! Mar 2-3, in Escalon. Here's a flyer, and here's the finalized package, as DOC and PDF.

1/30/12:Here's the latest Treasurer's Report; please make sure your club is paid up!

An Important Message from our cadet congressman: "Here are the minutes from Congress 2012 (and the Short Form). Of utmost importance is the proposal to amend the cadet constitution to allow for a name change to the corps. We have continuously been declining in club memberships over the years, and the vision committee has proposed to amend our constitution so that a name change could be entertained. The vote pasted in Congress, and now must be voted on by all counselors nation wide, and pass by a 2/3 vote. We will be voting at our council meeting Feb 2 at Bethany CRC in Bellflower. You either must be present or have signed absentee ballots for or against this proposal. Please keep this in your prayers as the future of our corps could depend on your vote." J. Grasmeyer. Here also is an explanation of what is being voted on. Note that any counselors who were not present at council have until Mar 31 to submit written absentee votes to be forwarded to Corps.

New from the Corps website: The Clarion is now an online magazine. The online version can be interactive -- providing links and media options (video) that makes it a better tool for you. Check out the latest edition. Last year's Southern California Counselors' Conference is highlighted!

Congratulations to Crosspoint, for their club victory at Field Day 2011, with a very impressive score of over 16 points per boy! And thanks to Rob Balt, Escondido URC, and Calvin Christian High School for hosting yet another successful event.
