Several of our Counselor received their Certification Awarded at the meeting. We will spent time on Field Day Training. Several workshop to gear up for field day. It is important to know that there will be a parade the same day, s
o make sure to read the comments on directions for this event.

Thanks to good planning, communications and your effort the meeting attendance was very good.
Time was well spent working on planning this years events and working on the Counselor Certification Course. .

09/12/2005: Treasure Report as of 9/12/2005

09/06/2005: The Southern California Cadet Executive Board met Tuesday, September 6, 2005 and outlined the Council Meetings and Events for the season. The outcome of this meeting was shared at the Council Meeting on 10/06/05.04-23-05: International Camporee Cert. Course: 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. @ Long Beach CRC 5559 East Wardlow Road Long Beach, CA 90808. Training was provided to earn the Camporee Certification Course. This course is required to attend the international camporee. All Counselors or Cadets are welcome to join to earn the badge. Lunch was $2.00 a serving (sloppy joes with chips, and soda or water).

02-17-05: Council Meeting was held at First United Reformed Church of Chino 6159 Riverside Drive, Chino, California 91710 from 7:30 p.m...- 9:00 p.m.

02-01-05: Jim G and Jerry S attended the 2005 Cadet Congress in Grand Rapids, MI, on Jan 6 - 8. Weather was 6 - 8" of snow on the ground, overcast skies, and 20 - 28 degrees. We had a good time seeing old friends and making new ones.
Here are the highlights.

1) Motion - Amend the Cadet Constitution to open the way for a motion to replace the name "Calvinist Cadet Corps" to something more understandable and receptive. Motion defeated.
2) Motion - Amend the Constitution to allow an independent club consultant to have a vote at Congress. Motion accepted.
3) Motion - Create a roster list to provide better demographics on the councils and their congressmen. Motion accepted.
4) Motion - Add a "Blacksmithing" merit badge to the RBP program. Motion accepted.
5) Motion - Add a "Guitar" merit badge to the RPB program. Motion defeated.
6) Motion - Change the "Government" merit badge to add perspective on same sex marriages, homosexuality, and taxes. Motion accepted.
7) Motion - Change the "Car Care" merit badge to add fuel systems. Motion accepted.
8) Motion - Remove outdated Guide Trail materials from current publication store houses. Motion Defeated
9) Motion - Remove "Crusader" name from all written publications and replace it with "Cadet Quest". Motion Defeated.
10) Motion - Investigate a new cadet uniform. Motion defeated.
11) Motion - Make the "Snow Derby" patch for 2nd, 3rd, as well as 1st places. Motion - Defeated

02-01-05: Limited Quantity of Pinewood Derby cars. The price is $ 4.25 per set, packaged in 10 sets per box with lead weights sets. These are special product run without the cut-out in the block for the driver seat which was requested at our last council meeting. - Electronic Scales to weigh the pinewood derby cars are available for $10. Contact George Bell before they are all gone.

12-05-04: Cadet Field Day was Saturday December 4, 2004 at Ontario Christian High School, 931 West Philadelphia, Ontario, CA 9176 8:00 a.m. Counselor Meeting, 8:30 a.m. Morning Assembly , 3:00 p.m. Award Ceremony. Cadets must have earned the Marksmanship or Archery badge to participate in Marksmanship or Archery. If a cadet has earned either badge, please make sure it is attached to their shirts.

11-18-04: Council Meeting was held at Westminster OPC (10101 Cunningham Ave., Westminster, CA 92683. Thank you Westminster POC for your hospitality!

09-23-04 Council Meetings was held at Chino First United Reformed Church.

Meeting Minutes
- President Bill Richards opened with devotions.
- We would like to update the web site with outstanding due accounts.
- Update the web site with Head Counselor names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses.
- For Pinewood derby cars, we will order the blocks from S & W Crafts with the axles cut out only.
- Mail in your Registration Forms, checks, and counselor lists to Jerry or Jim by Oct 15.
- We had a brief discussion on having women counselors participate in Cadets.
- Next meeting, Nov 18, 7:30 PM, at Westminster. Workshop by Jim G on Compass Reading.
- Field Day, Dec 4 at Ontario Christian School. Overnight camp out NOT confirmed yet!
- Mail in your 2004 offerings to Corps.
- International Camporee, July 20 - 27, 2005. Start planning your vacations and plan to attend. We will have a Camp Certification Class in the spring.
